HR Technology Trends: How Digital Transformation is Changing HRM

Abstract: Investigating the impact of digital transformation on human resource management (HRM) this study aims to find out what effects the changes have had on employee well-being, the organizational culture and job satisfaction. With organizations readily embracing technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and digital platforms to smoothen their HR processes, it therefore becomes inherent that it is essential to understand the positives and negatives of this importance shift. The effects of digital HR practices on an organization and the issues of operational efficiency, data privacy issues, ethical application of AI, and generational differences impacting all the HR complicacies are examined in detail. A quantitative design for the research was adopted utilizing 400 samples of various organizations under the jurisdiction of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) using a systematic questionnaire. The research utilized Regression Analysis and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) as the method of testing through SPSS of relation between employee outcomes to the digital HR technologies adoption. Results show that there exists a very strong positive relationship between adoption of digital HR technologies and employee well-being, job satisfaction, and workplace culture. However, the study points out that there are issues such as breach of data privacy, ethics of AI implementation, and the multigenerational workforce significantly influencing the performance of digital HR practices. The results support acceptance of alternative hypotheses for both tested models. As such, research states that while digital HR techniques have several advantages, critical challenges still need to be resolved before taking advantage of what they offer. This includes the development of robust data privacy policies, the promotion of ethical applications of AI, and working around generational differences by adopting inclusive strategies. These are ideal roadmaps for HR professionals in carrying out their functions, which encompasses maximizing the use of digital HR practices for improved organizational performance. Keywords: Digital HRM, Employee Well-being, Data Privacy, Ethical AI, Workplace Culture
