Programming Embedded Devices with Object-Oriented Programming in C++
This paper explores the application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in the development of embedded systems using C++. Despite embedded systems traditionally relying on structured programming languages like C, OOP offers significant advantages in terms of modularity, reusability, and maintainability. This study compares the benefits and challenges of OOP in embedded development, with a practical example utilizing the ESP-IDF framework on the ESP32 development board. The findings highlight the feasibility and potential of OOP in enhancing embedded systems programming.
