Evaluation of Histopathological changes in Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease by using a modified Los Angeles scoring system

Back ground: Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is ever increasing burden globally and many with GERD show normal studies on endoscopy. A histological examination might provide a definite diagnosis. Objectives: To study the spectrum of histopathological changes in patients presenting with GERD symptoms and to quantify the histopathological changes associated with GERD using the Modified Los Angeles Scoring System.
