Socio-Moral Reflection and the Reasons for Hiding the Truth
The research aims to explore the link between the results obtained with a relatively new version of a frequently used tool for evaluating moral judgment: The Socio-Moral Reflection Measure - Short Form Objective (in English: The Sociomoral Reflection Measure - Short Form Objective: SRM -SFO), whose authors are Basinger, Brugman, and Gibbs (2007), and two instruments developed by the author of this research to investigate the conditions under which people are willing to hide the truth: one in which the items have two response options (called C2), and one where they have five answer options (called C5). At the study participated 78 second- year students at a University of Arts and Design, with an average age of 20.6 years. Questionnaire C1 was administered to 33 of them, and questionnaire C5 to 45 of them.
