Brain and Cognitive Impairments: Lessons from the Buddhajaksa Virtuous Community
The human brain is the most complex and delicate organ of the body central to intelligence, emotion, morality, and perception. However, in certain conditions, brain development may diverge or be adversely affected by genetics and environment, resulting in variations in behavior, learning capacity, and quality of life. This article presents an academic analysis of brain and cognitive impairments, drawing on real-life field data from the Buddhajaksa Virtuous Community a model moral town integrating health, disability support, and neurodevelopment across diverse populations. It examines major brain structures and their relation to specific conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, Psychopathy, and Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). The study aims to bridge neuroscience with community wisdom and inclusive development.
