QUESTIONS REGARDING SCIENCE ANDA SCIENTIFIC KNOW LEAD: EXPLORATORY FOUNDATIONS FOR HISTORICAL-CRITICAL PEDAGOGY

This study explores questions regarding the nature of science and the validity of the knowledge it produces, within the framework of Historical-Critical Pedagogy. The objective of the study was to analyze the nature of science, its method, and its philosophy. This text presents the results of an exploratory bibliographic research focused on key concepts related to the theme, through the investigation of scientific articles collected from databases, as well as the systematization of classical texts on scientific activity. In this process, which moves from the abstract to the concrete, the epistemological coordinates of scientific activity were identified based on the ontological foundation of science. By way of conclusion, it highlights the need for strategies related to dissemination, human formation, educational public policies, and civil society initiatives aimed at greater democratization of the products of scientific activity—science itself, its methods, and its philosophy.
