THE PHILOSOPHER ZAHIRIDDIN MUHAMMAD BABUR
Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur (1483–1530), most often remembered as the founder of the Mughal Empire and author of the Baburnama, stands as a unique intellectual figure whose life was not only defined by politics and conquest, but also by deep philosophical reflection. Babur was a man of paradoxes: a conqueror who loved gardens more than war, a realist with an idealist’s soul, a powerful emperor who openly confessed his flaws and longings.
