மரக – மரகன – சயன - வரலறம நடசயம
In the ancient religious history of the Tamils, nature worship, center stone worship, ancestor worship, tree worship, mother goddess worship, and Velan worship were very important forms of worship. In the society of that time, which bore the remnants of ethnic groups, these forms of worship were intertwined, transformed, and moved with each other. Among these, mother goddess worship and Muruga worship had a worship system that carried many ritual movements and performing arts, which can be seen throughout the classical period. All these names such as Anangu, Sur, Kotravai, Pazhayol, Kadamarch Selvi, Murugu, Murugan, Velan were closely related to the feelings of the ancient society and basic psychological expressions such as fear, security, trust, anger, and current problems. These forms of worship were not associated with mythology, ideological expressions, or systems of spiritual search. Therefore, they were unique in their worship, closely associated with arts and rituals in their respective places.
