Paper 39: Discrete Time, Action, and the Geometry of the Holosphere Metric
This paper develops a coherence-based reformulation of energy, momentum, time, and action grounded in the angular structure of the Holosphere lattice. In contrast to continuum-based field theories, Holosphere Theory models the universe as a nested, rotating lattice of phase-locked Holospheres—neutron-scale coherence shells composed of Planck-scale spinning units. Energy is reinterpreted as angular strain, momentum as directed coherence transfer, inertia as resistance to reconfiguration, and action as a discrete summation of phase strain steps across nested shells. Time is not an independent coordinate but a quantized sequence of reconfiguration events, ordered by angular strain propagation through the lattice. These coherence-driven dynamics give rise to directional causality, redshift, and inertial behavior. We further propose a discrete geometry in which spatial distances and time intervals emerge from coherence depth, and gravitational effects arise from gradients in phase strain—replacing Riemannian curvature with angular coherence topology. This work establishes the geometric and energetic groundwork for the upcoming Holosphere Lagrangian (Paper 25), in which lattice action is minimized across recursive angular transitions. Weconclude with testable predictions including directional inertia, time dilation from coherence strain, and observational redshift behavior distinct from spacetime expansion models.
