A NET-ZERO POLLUTION-FREE PETROCHEMICAL SYSTEM WITH SMART CATALYSIS AND CLOSED-LOOP INTEGRATION FRAMEWORK FOR CARBON-NEUTRAL FEEDSTOCKS AND ELECTRIFIED PROCESS ENGINEERING
The decarbonization of the petrochemical sector represents a pivotal challenge in achieving global climate goals. This paper presents an integrated framework that combines smart catalysis, carbon-neutral feedstocks, and electrified process engineering within a closed-loop, pollution-free petrochemical system. The proposed approach integrates advanced materials, AI-enabled catalyst design, and circular carbon strategies such as CO₂ capture, utilization, and recycling (CCUR). Improvements in green hydrogen generation, renewable-powered electrification, and modular process intensification have made zero-emission petrochemical systems a feasible industrial frontier. This paper synthesizes recent advances, offers a comprehensive literature review, and proposes a model integrating catalysis, feedstock innovation, and process electrification. Simulated outputs and schematic frameworks are presented, demonstrating the feasibility of closed-loop, net-zero petrochemical manufacturing.
