SPECIES AND BIOLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF DRAGONFLY

This article is devoted to the study of the types of dragonflies, their lifestyle, life, distribution, nutrition, as well as their biological and ecologicalsignificance. Information is provided on the biological and morphologicalcharacteristics of dragonflies. Dragonflies are the oldest and most amazing insects. The body consists of a head, thorax and a long thin abdomen. On the head are shortantennae, very large compound eyes. The mouthparts are arranged in a rodent-likemanner. The wings are in two pairs and densely veined. The wings of mostdragonflies are widely spread on both sides of the body. Adult dragonflies arebeneficial by killing insect pests.
