Development And Characterization of Niosomal Buccal Film for Hyperlipidemia
Atypically high blood levels of any or all lipids or lipoproteins as a result of aberrant fat metabolism or function are known as hyperlipidemia. the primary causes of heart attacks, ischemic heart disease (IHD), cardiovascular disorders, and atherosclerosis, among others. Both main and secondary factors can cause hyperlipidemia, which is regarded as a chronic condition whose symptoms can be managed with anti-hyperlipidemia medications. The goal is to create lovastatin niosomes in order to increase the drug's bioavailability. The application of preformulation parameters optimizes the quality of the drug product while increasing the likelihood of obtaining a formulation that is safe, effective, and stable. FTIR, DSC, and UV spectroscopy were used in the pre-formulation investigation to identify the API. According to published research, the drug has low solubility and bioavailability.
