VGOS CRF: using radio multiband data to create a CRF for geodesy
The next generation Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) Global Observing System (VGOS) for geodesy and astrometry simultaneously observes the active galactic nuclei in four radio bands, ranging from 3 to 11 GHz. The goal of VGOS is to improve the accuracy of geodetic and astrometric data products, such as the Earth orientation parameters or the terrestrial and celestial reference frames. We present the celestial reference frame (CRF) estimated from 1.39 million group delays coming from 145 VGOS Operational (VGOS-OPS) and 10 Research and Development (VGOS-R&D) 24-hour sessions until 2024.0.
