Why India Needs a Digital Database of Government Office Addresses
This article proposes establishing a centralised, digital database of government office addresses throughout India. Centralising this vital public information would allow the government to optimise postal logistics, enhance digital governance, improve emergency coordination, and facilitate data-driven planning. The proposal is technologically viable, cost-effective, and aligns with the objectives of Digital India. It underscores that significant innovations do not have to be complicated; straightforward and well-structured solutions can greatly boost administrative efficiency and build institutional trust nationwide.
