Reflective Loss Factor (RLF) and Propagation Decay Coefficient (RPDC): A Unified Model for Energy Decay in Wave Propagation
This work presents "Reflective Loss Factor (RLF) and Propagation Decay Coefficient (RPDC): A Unified Model for Energy Decay in Wave Propagation," an original theoretical framework by Mohendra Dey. The model proposes a novel approach to quantify energy loss in wave propagation systems, combining Reflective Loss Factor (RLF) for reflection losses and Propagation Decay Coefficient (RPDC) for propagation losses. The formula Eₙ = E₀ × (1 - RLF)ⁿ × (1 - RPDC)ⁿ models exponential decay over multiple steps, applicable to X-ray imaging, optics, telecommunication, and laser systems. This hypothesis, based on conceptual reasoning, remains unverified experimentally, with future research suggested for validation across wavelengths and media. Keywords: wave propagation, energy decay, optics, RLF, RPDC.
