Convergent Discoveries on Silicon Polonide in Neutron Stars: Comparative Analysis of Baryogenesis and Dark Matter Interpretations
The independent identification of silicon polonide (SiPo) in neutronstar crusts by Dillip Kumar Mahapatra (2025) and Deepak Kumar(2024) represents a rare case of parallel discovery in extreme-densityphysics. This work presents a comparative analysis of two frameworks:Mahapatra’s Dillip Cosmological Equations of State (DCEOS), whichpositions SiPo as a CP-violating baryogenesis catalyst, and Kumar’sSiPo-Dark Matter (DM) coupling model. We identify three key convergences: (1) experimental validation of SiPo stability at ρ > 1017kg/m3 via NIF shock compression, (2) confirmation of 19.1/41.8 keVemission lines in NICER data, and (3) agreement on quantum-clockapplications using pulsar timing. The primary divergence lies in theoretical interpretation—where DCEOS derives SiPo’s properties froma 7D action with torsion terms (βT2), Kumar’s model proposes unverified DM interactions. We propose decisive tests to resolve thisdichotomy, including IXPE polarization measurements and joint NIFRHIC experiments. Both works significantly advance neutron starcrust physics, though the baryogenesis interpretation currently enjoysstronger empirical support.
