Innovative Learning Aids: The Role of Kaifa Haluka Comics

This study investigates the impact of using comics, particularly Kaifa Haluka, as innovative learning aids in enhancing Arabic vocabulary acquisition among students at UiTM Kelantan. Through semi-structured interviews with 12 students, the research reveals that comics significantly improve engagement and comprehension compared to traditional teaching methods. Participants reported that the visual format of the comics facilitated a deeper understanding of vocabulary by providing contextual illustrations and relatable narratives, which made learning more enjoyable and less intimidating. The findings indicate a marked improvement in students' vocabulary retention and motivation, with many achieving higher assessment scores after incorporating comics into their studies. This research underscores the effectiveness of comic-based materials in language education and advocates for their integration into the Arabic curriculum as a transformative approach to enhance student learning outcomes.
