AI-Powered Telemedicine for India's Middle Class: A Novel Approach to Bridging the Healthcare Gap

India's healthcare system, despite significant advancements, remains inaccessible to many middle-class families who do not qualify for Ayushman Bharat yet struggle with high medical costs. Current government schemes focus primarily on hospitalization, leaving out daily doctor consultations and chronic disease management. This paper proposes AyuAI, an AI-powered telemedicine platform designed to provide affordable outpatient care, preventive health monitoring, and virtual doctor consultations for lower-middle-class and middle-class families. To the best of our knowledge, based on a review of publicly available literature, AyuAI represents a novel approach to addressing this gap by uniquely combining AI-powered tools with a specific focus on integration with India's existing healthcare infrastructure and a tiered pricing model designed for affordability. This study explores the feasibility of integrating AI-driven healthcare solutions into India's public health policy, analyzes global precedents, and assesses potential employment and economic opportunities in this emerging field.
