Gps-Based Water Mapping: Advancing Water Resource Management Through Geospatial Technology
Abstract: Water management has become very critical because of modern-day pollution, climate change, and overpopulation. Geographic strategies such as GPS water mapping can enhance the methods related to water use and conservation. This study puts emphasis on the use of hydro-meteorological data collection, watershed management, and the use of modern technology and tools such as GPS and GIS for improvement in disaster humanitarian assistance. Using GPS technology, water bodies can be easily and accurately marked and monitored. Acquiring and processing spatial information automatically through GIS technology adds value to the decision-making process because abundant valuable data is obtained. It discusses the recent advances in the collection of hydrologic information and adds the necessity of new technology for improvement of accuracy in data collection and optimization of resources. High costs and complex data are among the many challenges examined in this research along with the possible solutions GPS water mapping technology can give to sustainable water management
