Situational overview of the Pribram waste rock dumps

This presentation provides a situational overview of the research in context of uranium mining waste rock dumps in the Pribram region. It serves to provide background for next presentations in the session, covering in more detail specific aspects of the research. It covers: Geological conditions and extent of the Pribram uranium mining area Locations and characterization of the waste rock dumps, including distances to neighboring settlements Vegetation cover of the dumps Radiometric survey of the dump no. 15. Characterization of dump no. 9: 3D model of dump no. 9 Thermal overlay in winter and summer conditions, highlighting hot and cold hotspots Documentation of air outflows at the base and top part of the dump Overview of results of environment monitoring done by DIAMO, s.p. in frame of the Monitoring programme. Detailed monthly EERC analysis from DIAMO s.p. monitoring points Climate analysis for the area of dump no. 15 and Brod village Presented at the RADON 2024 conference, Prague, Sep 9-12, 2024 by Vaclav Stepan.
