Penana Edkins, 2025, nom. nov.
The genus name Chileana Janšta & Křížková in Janšta et al., 2013 (type species: Chileana cyanea) is a junior homonym of Chileana Özdikmen, 2009 (Chilopoda). Chileana Özdikmen, 2009 was a redundant replacement name, but it was used as valid for a taxon when proposed, remains available according to ICZN Article 10.6, and contends in homonymy. The name Chileana Janšta & Křížková has no known synonyms, so the name Penana nom. nov. (urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act: 57D8663D-7E87-4EDE-906C-E74C76B9AC06) is here proposed as replacement name. The name Penana (gender: feminine) is given in honour of Luis Enrique Peña Guzmán, collector of the holotypes of the four named species. Consequential changes: Penana cyanea, P. maculata, P. penai & P. tricarinata, all (Janšta & Křížková in Janšta et al., 2013) comb. nov.
