Psychoanalysis Ltd. - When Insurance Programmes Your Unconscious: Amputation of the Subject Disguised as Cure
This academic paper analyses the progressive commercialisation of psychoanalysis through medical insurance interference in determining therapeutic methods, treatment duration, and "improvement" criteria based on economic profitability rather than profound psychodynamic understanding. The study hypothesises that medical insurance companies have usurped the analyst's function in determining what constitutes mental health, imposing standardised protocols that contradict fundamental principles of unconscious discovery. The methodology consisted of critical conceptual analysis from the psychoanalytic framework, application of the OntoPsiquis theoretical model to contrast singularity versus standardisation, and clinical reflection based on direct professional experience with medical insurance restrictions. Main results evidenced that treatments considered "successful" according to insurance criteria prioritise immediate behavioural adaptation over elaboration of unconscious conflict, whilst implementation of artificial intelligence in automated diagnostics reduces natural ontotypic diversity to limited and economically profitable DSM categories. The paper concludes that psychoanalysis survival requires active resistance against therapeutic homogenisation, proposing methodologies that preserve the irreducible singularity of the subject of the unconscious against systemic threat through algorithmic programming of subjectivity. The study introduces the OntoPsiquis framework as an onto-humanist psychoanalytic approach that defends ontotypic dignity against pathologisation by medical services classification systems. This work represents a critical contribution to contemporary psychoanalytic theory and mental health policy analysis, offering an alternative paradigm that prioritises human singularity over administrative efficiency in therapeutic practice.
