The Utilization of Printed Authentic Materials as an Alternative in Enhancement of Subject-Verb Concord
This study aimed to enhance the mastery level of selected Grade 7 learners of Vicente Madrigal National High School in Subject-Verb Concord through the utilization of printed authentic materials. An experimental method was used, comparing a control group taught with standard materials and an experimental group taught with printed authentic materials. The experimental group showed mastery level improvements across most rules, while the control group reached only nearing mastery. Statistical analysis confirmed significant differences between pretest and post-test results in both groups, with the experimental group outperforming the control. The findings support the use of printed authentic materials as an effective alternative instructional tool for grammar enhancement.
