VOCABULARY DEVELOPMENT THROUGH VISUAL ASSOCIATIONS IN KOREAN LANGUAGE LEARNING
This article explores the effectiveness of using visual associations in the process of vocabulary acquisition among learners of Korean as a foreign language. The study reviews theoretical frameworks on associative learning, cognitive memory processing, and dual coding theory, while presenting practical techniques such as image-word matching, mind mapping, and storytelling with illustrations. The integration of visual elements has been proven to significantly enhance memory retention, especially in learners whose native language differs structurally from Korean.
