ENHANCING EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE IN HOSPITALS THROUGH GREEN TRAINING: THE ROLE OF GREEN HRM
This research investigates the impact of green training on employee performance in hospitals, addressing the pressing need for environmental sustainability within the healthcare sector. Hospitals face unique challenges in balancing patient care significantly, as evidenced by Chi-square analysis results. The findings underscore the importance of investing in green training for hospital employees to promote environmental sustainability and enhance organizational performance. Tailored training programs, continuous education initiatives, and strong leadership support are recommended to maximize the effectiveness of green training initiatives. By empowering healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to integrate sustainable practices into their daily operations, hospitals can reduce their environmental footprint, improve patient care, and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable future. Environmental stewardship necessitates the integration of sustainable practices into their operations. Green training programs aim to equip hospital staff with the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainability and enhance organizational effectiveness. Surveys and interviews were conducted among 150 hospital employees before and after participating in green training programs. The survey assessed employee perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors related to environmental sustainability, while interviews provided qualitative insights. Statistical analyses, including ANOVA and Chi-square tests, were employed to evaluate changes in employee performance indicators. The study revealed significant improvements in employee awareness, efficiency, collaboration, and job satisfaction following green training. Pre- and post-training surveys emonstrated increased knowledge and awareness levels among participants, with notable improvements in energy conservation, waste management, and sustainable procurement practices. Energy consumption decreased by an average of 16.8%, while cross-departmental collaboration improved.
