РАФАЇЛА ТАРТАЦЬКА – НАСТОЯТЕЛЬНИЦЯ ЧИГИРИНСЬКОГО СВЯТО-ТРОЇЦЬКОГО МОНАСТИРЯ (ПОЧ. XX–XXI ст.)

In the late 20th and early 21st century the Ukrainian Orthodox Church MP (Moscow Patriarchate) canonized 144 martyrs of the Cherkasy land. The Mother Superior of the Chyhyryn Holy Trinity convent Raphaila Tartatska is among them. Іn the late 20-s of the 20th century the abbess of the Chyhyryn convent was tortured by the local NKVD. In eary December 2003, UOC (MP) clergymen raised the remains and placed them in the crypt of the St. Kazan’s Church in Chyhyrun. By the decision of the Holy Synod of the UOC(MP) Raphaila Tartatska was joined a Host of Saints and was recognized as a new martyr of the 20th century. Nowadays her relics are in the Chyhyryn Holy Trinity convent.
