The subject of the study is the regional rural economy as a prerogative of the development ofinformation technologies.The purpose of the study is to determine promising areas of digitalization of the regional ruraleconomy.Research methods. The article uses the dialectical method of scientific knowledge, the method ofanalysis and synthesis, the comparative method, and the method of data generalization.Results of the work. The article identifies a list of important aspects that emphasize theimportance of information technologies for the development of the rural economy. It is found thatthrough the effective use of IT, the regional rural economy will be able to become more resistant toexternal shocks. The features of the regional rural economy as a prerogative of the development ofinformation technologies are characterized.Conclusions. The development of the rural economy in Ukraine is directly related to the introductionof information technologies (IT). Rural areas often face a low level of economic development, whichis due to insufficient access to modern technologies. Information technologies will contribute toimproving agricultural production, increasing productivity, and optimizing management processes.The introduction of electronic accounting and monitoring systems for growing crops allows farmersto manage resources more effectively and reduce costs. Internet platforms for selling productsprovide direct access to consumers, which increases the competitiveness of local producers. Theintroduction of educational programs in the field of IT for the rural population is also important, asit stimulates the development of innovative approaches to farming. Involving young people in digitaltechnologies can significantly improve the economic performance of regions, contributing to theirintegration into the global economy.
