Factors Associated with Early Involvement in Sexual Behavior Among Adolescents in Oruchinga Refugee Settlement in Isingiro District Southwestern Uganda
The increasing rates of early sexual involvement among adolescents are a significant global public health concern. Despite widespread awareness of the risks associated with early sexual activity, adolescents are becoming sexually active at younger ages. The extent of this issue within the Oruchinga Refugee Settlement is unclear, making it essential to understand the factors contributing to early sexual involvement in this community. Identifying these factors will aid in developing targeted prevention strategies and policies to encourage adolescents to delay sexual activity until marriage, thereby improving their reproductive health. This study aims to explore the factors associated with early sexual behavior among adolescents in the Oruchinga Refugee Settlement in Isingiro district.
