REGIONAL DISPARITIES AND PUBLIC POLICIES IN THE IDENTIFICATION OF GIFTED PEOPLE
This research investigates the identification of gifted students in Brazil, focusing on regional disparities and the impact of public policies. The Brazilian educational scenario reveals great inequalities in the care of students with high abilities/giftedness, especially in regions with less infrastructure. The objective was to analyze the determining factors for this identification, with emphasis on regional disparities and public policies. Using the neoperspectivist paradigm giftedean and various theories of giftedness, the hypothetical-deductive method and advanced statistical analyses, such as linear regression and ARIMA, the results confirmed the influence of policies and disparities, in addition to gaps related to the absence of detailed data.
