Idioscopus triprocessus Guo & Dai, 2025, sp. nov.

Idioscopus triprocessus sp. nov. (Figure 2A–I) Description Coloration. Body yellowish brown. Crown with a black circular spot on each side of the midline near the eye. Pronotum with a pair of black patches on anterior margin, posterior margin light brown. Mesonotum plate brown, with a pair of triangles on the anterior margin, and a pair of small rounded black spots in front of scutoscutellar sulcus. Forewing yellowish brown, veins alternating brown and white. Lateral frontal suture inconspicuous and without extending to ocellus. Male genitalia. Pygofer nearly triangular and with a long spine-like process on ventral margin. Subgenital plate shorter than pygofer with a row of long. Connective short and stout, with process on anterior margin. Style narrow, median part recurved outward, subapical part with a row of long fine setae on dorsal margin, finely serrate on ventral margin. Aedeagal shaft slightly sinuate with acute tip in lateral view, with pair of tooth-like projections near tip and two pairs of slightly curved subapical processes arising just based of gonopore, ventral pair more than two times longer than dorsal pair; gonopore subapical. Measurement (mm). Male: body length including tegmina 4.60–4.70; face length 1.00–1.10, width 1.50–1.60; distance from ocellus to eyes 0.20–0.30; medial length of pronotum 0.50–0.60, width 1.3–1.4; scutellum length 0.7–0.75 width 0.85–0.9. Type material. Holotype, ♂, Sandu County, Mt. Yaoren, Guizhou Province, China (107°53′42″E, 25°59′21″N; H: 1365m), 8 August 2022, Coll. Min Li. Paratypes. 1♂, same information as holotype; 4♂♂ 2♀♀, Wuming County, Mt. Daming, Guangxi Province, China (108°42′51″E, 23°58′02″N; H: 1205m), 29 May 2019, Coll. Yan Jiang. Etymology. The new species is named for the three pairs of processes of the aedeagus. Remarks. The new species is similar to I. recurvatus, but it can be distinguished from the latter by the aedeagus with a preapical pair of tooth-like projections and two pairs of unequal subapical processes, and the style subapical part with a row of long fine setae.
