MADARIS PROGRAM AND STRATEGIES FOR ARABIC AND ISLAMIC EDUCATION: THE CASE OF CENTRAL MINDANAO, BARMM

ABSTRACT This research assesses the execution, obstacles, and effects of the program across multiple areas, including curriculum design, pedagogical approaches, resource allocation, technology integration, and evaluation methods. Data presented in Tables 1–15 suggest that while the program is largely implemented effectively, notable challenges remain, such as insufficient teacher salaries, the absence of a standardized curriculum and assessment instruments, financial hardships faced by students, and limited institutional backing. Correlation analysis (Tables 16–22) indicates strong associations between the implementation of the curriculum and student learning outcomes, underscoring the importance of community involvement, available resources, and professional development in enhancing educational quality. Regression analysis (Tables 23–27) underscores the necessity for greater government involvement, enhanced teacher training, and the establishment of standardized evaluation frameworks to facilitate sustainable advancement. Although there have been some voluntary initiatives from educators and parents, the government has not taken significant measures to address these issues. The study correlates its findings with Qur’anic principles and Hadith, reinforcing the Islamic duty of organized education, community engagement, and ongoing enhancement. In light of the findings, the study advocates for improvements in teacher salaries, standardization of the curriculum, financial support for students, increased institutional assistance, expansion of teacher recruitment efforts, and the creation of assessment tools. These recommendations aim to bolster the effectiveness of the Madaris Program, ensuring equitable and high-quality education for future generations.
