The Right to Healthcare for the Most Vulnerable Migrant Groups and the Universal Implementation of the Right to Enjoy the Highest Attainable Standard of Physical and Mental Health
In this research paper I focus on the issue concerning the right to healthcare for the most vulnerable groups that is represented by undocumented migrant women and undocumented migrants with disabilities. I will highlight the relationship between human rights and the right to health clarifying the meaning of principles established in articles 11 and 12 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. With this regard, I consider important that states enhance the effectiveness of those authorities in charge of evaluating the respect of fundamental rights and the principle of human dignity. This would restore the legality as modern constitutions oblige authorities to undertake appropriate measures to fulfil all principles enshrined in international human rights covenants.
