Kratek zgodovinski pregled arheološke geofizike v svetu in Sloveniji

Abstract: The paper provides a brief historical overview of archaeological geophysics with an emphasis on the development of geophysical techniques, the importance of archaeological geophysics, and its development in Slovenia from the first test in 1964 to the present. It specifically discusses the beginnings, key milestones, and important contributions of foreign and Slovenian researchers in the field of archaeological geophysics. The initial efforts of the researchers of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage in the 1960s were followed by a short break in the 1970s, and then by a revival in the second half of the 1980s. By the end of the 1990s, geophysics had been successfully integrated into standard archaeological methods.
