Proposta de Procedimento para Estimar a Rigidez em Metais Texturizados pela Análise dos Dados de EBSD

Electron Back Scatter Diffraction or EBSD is a material characterization technique used to evaluate the degree of crystalline orientation or the texture present in crystalline solids. As several physical and mechanical characteristics, among them, the elastic stiffness of polycrystalline metallic materials, are linked to its crystalline texture, the EBSD technique becomes an important source of information for the study the relationship between structure and processing of Engineering materials. Therefore, the present study presents a procedure to determine the elastic modules of metallic materials, whose microtexture was evaluated via EBSD. For this, continuous mechanics equations applied to single crystals are used, along with Voigt (isostrain), Reuss (isostress) and Hill models to polycrystalline generalization. The presented procedure has potential for use in the evaluation of new additive manufacturing (MA) processes. Keywords: Structure-property relationship; EBSD; Crystalline texture; Elastic Modulus.
