DEVELOPMENT OF EFFECTIVE TESTS FOR CONTROL THE READING OF ENGLISH PROFESSIONALLY ORIENTED TEXTS

The article emphasizes the need to create a new model of language training in non-language higher educational institutions of Ukraine. The importance of developing competence in reading English-language professionally oriented texts among future teacher-engineers is emphasized. The generally recognized quality characteristics of the tests were analyzed. The mutual positive and negative influence of the quality characteristics of the test on each other is considered. It is proposed to specify the methodical principles of testing taking into account the specifics of reading as a separate type of speech activity to implement control of the level of the speech competence formation of future teacher-engineers in reading English-language professionally oriented texts.
