Silent Screens, Loud Crimes: A Critical Examination of Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence in India
This research paper critically examines the escalating issue of Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) in India. It explores the intersections of gender, technology, and law, highlighting how online spaces amplify patriarchal control through deepfakes, cyberstalking, doxxing, and trolling. Drawing from secondary research and real-world case studies, the paper offers structural, legal, and community-based solutions to combat TFGBV and advocates for inclusive digital justice, platform accountability, and survivor-centered safety.
