Developing a System for Monitoring Student Attendance at Universities

This paper explores the importance of monitoring student attendance as a key factor in ensuring academic success and maintaining educational quality in universities. Consistent class attendance is strongly linked to better academic performance and active student participation. However, traditional methods like manual roll calls and paper-based registers are time-consuming, error-prone, and vulnerable to fraudulent activities. These limitations highlight the need for a more efficient and accurate attendance tracking system that utilizes modern technology. This thesis focuses on designing and implementing an advanced system for student attendance monitoring. The proposed solution aims to replace conventional manual methods with a more automated, precise, and efficient approach. By incorporating biometric authentication, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, and mobile application interfaces, the system provides a reliable and user-friendly way to track student attendance.
