A White Paper-Collapse from the Beginning A GUR Theory Sketch
The Great Universal Recycle (GUR) framework re-imagines cosmic evolution as a running ledger of discrete collapse events embedded in an unresolved memory eld. Each collapse, labeled Nowr, resolves a speci c local con guration of mass and gravitational memory (Gm), while simultaneously writing two complementary records: the single outcome that actually occurred and a surrounding archive of alternative possibilities that did not. Those records live, respectively, in Thenu (a past-events store) and Futureu (the space of all potentials yet to be chosen). In this picture dark matter arises as zones whose mass and memory have not yet collapsed; dark energy appears as tensioned regions of memory that push the cosmic fabric outward. Gravity itself is an instant-on phenomenon: when a new collapse res, the nearby memory imprint reattaches to mass without any light-speed delay, so motion is best viewed as a sequence of re-attachments rather than a smooth force eld. GURmakesseveral testable predictions. In satellite ber loops it forecasts non-reciprocal photon-polarization twists of order milliradians roughly ve times larger than the general-relativistic frame-drag baseline [Galoustian2025]. In the kilohertz to megahertz band it predicts sharp collapse-noise peaks that should stand out in Fourier-transform noise spectroscopy (FTNS) of trapped-electron qubits or micro-torsion oscillators [Scolnic2018, Brout2022] . In the laboratory, room-temperature, trapped-electron qubits should achieve physical error rates below 0.1 % when operated under the Atom-Until-Failure protocol, validating GUR's claim that error detection and recovery can be embedded in the hardware cycle itself [Graham2023]. On cosmic scales the theory anticipates curved, ridge-like structures in weak-lensing maps, and faint, ringshaped anisotropies in the cosmic microwave background [DESI2024, Planck2018], both of which would mark ancient collapse contours. Seen together, these hooks turn GUR from a philosophical sketch into a concrete research program that reaches from attosecond optics to billion-light-year voids.
