The Death of the Observer: Quantum Measurement as Planck-Scale Pixelation
We present a fundamental reformulation of quantum measurement that elimi-nates the need for observers as privileged agents. The theory posits that physicalreality emerges through Planck-scale pixelation of an information field ψ(x), wheremeasurement occurs automatically when the probability density |ψ(x)|2 exceeds acritical threshold ψ2c := 1/ℓ3Planck. This threshold triggers spontaneous localizationthrough nonlinear dynamics governed by a modified Schrödinger equation. Theframework resolves quantum paradoxes without invoking consciousness, predictsdark matter as unpixelated field energy, and yields testable signatures in quan-tum materials and high-frequency gravity waves. Crucially, it demonstrates thatobservers are thermodynamic epiphenomena rather than physical necessities.
