ROLE OF WOMEN IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE, THE SPIRITUAL AND EDUCATIONAL SPHERE: CHALLENGES AND THE WAY FORWARD

Women’s role in science, education, and spirituality has evolved significantly over time, although gender-based challenges persist. Women face continuously many challenges that hinder their full participation in intellectual, scientific, and spiritual domains. Though women achieved significant achievements, gender biases, social norms, limited access to education, and underrepresentation in leadership positions persist as major barriers. The challenges can be overcome by the society through creating an inclusive and equitable environment that enables women to thrive in all walks of life. We are presenting some of the examples from Central and South Asia.
