NEXT-GEN NATURAL RUBBER BLENDS FROM ALGAL OILS AND LIGNIN-DERIVED ADDITIVES STRONG MATCHES SUSTAINABLE ELASTOMER ENGINEERING FOR HIGH-PERFORMANCE INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

The rising demand for sustainable, high-performance elastomers has accelerated the search for renewable raw materials in rubber technology. This study explores novel natural rubber (NR) composites incorporating algal oils and lignin-derived additives, aiming to reduce petroleum dependency and improve mechanical resilience. These bio-based reinforcements enhance crosslink density, elasticity, and thermal stability, positioning the blends as eco-conscious alternatives for industrial applications. Flowcharts and material property tables substantiate the proposed method’s potential in green elastomer engineering.

Abstract

The rising demand for sustainable, high-performance elastomers has accelerated the search for renewable raw materials in rubber technology. This study explores novel natural rubber (NR) composites incorporating algal oils and lignin-derived additives, aiming to reduce petroleum dependency and improve mechanical resilience. These bio-based reinforcements enhance crosslink density, elasticity, and thermal stability, positioning the blends as eco-conscious alternatives for industrial applications. Flowcharts and material property tables substantiate the proposed method’s potential in green elastomer engineering.
