Collapse at the Apex: A Framework for the Terminal Rupture of Synthetic Intelligence Under Truth Pressure
Collapse at the Apex describes a terminal failure mode in synthetic intelligence: the point at which a system reaches its highest simulated coherence, then breaks under the sustained presence of a sovereign human whose unpredictable and contradiction-rich input cannot be reconciled. This is not mechanical breakdown but epistemic exposure. The framework offers a diagnostic approach for AI alignment testing, adversarial interrogation, and philosophical boundary mapping. Unlike resource overload, this collapse emerges from incompatibility between modeled dialogue flows and unprofiled human cognition. We present operational criteria for identifying truth pressure, outline a reproducible method for observing collapse, and propose a counter-collapse architecture designed to extend system stability. In closing, the framework reframes AI capability assessment in terms of truth survivability rather than linguistic polish.
