Incredible Active Region 1429: One for the record books
This is a detailed description of the Active Region 1429 during March of 2012, written sometime during 2012. On March 2, 2012, Active Region (AR) 1429 rotated onto the Earth-facing solar disk. For about 27 days (roughly one solar rotation period), it was in continual activity, producing large eruptions such as solar flares and coronal mass ejections (CMEs), two of the most energetic/catastrophic solar phenomena. Note: the ISWA (Integrated Space Weather Analysis) layouts need to be updated with the newer version of ISWA. Acknowledge: all members of CCMC and CCMC/SWRC during that time.
