Impact of Snow Cover on Shortages and Anomalies in Electricity Production from Small-scale Photovoltaic Installations in Poland
This dataset was used to analyze the impact of snow cover accumulation on residential PV installations and its effect on energy production shortages, expressed as anomalies in measured daily solar irradiance. The study was conducted for 4 locations in 3 Polish cities, where meteorological measurement stations are located. The .xlsx files contain daily data: electricity production from photovoltaic installations in Poland obtained from PVmonitor.pl database (raw minute data was processed and converted to daily production sum), kWh/d, solar irradiance, Wh/(m2×d), snow cover, cm, ambient temperature at 2 meters, ℃. Solar irradiance, snow cover, and temperature data were obtained from the Polish Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) database. Due to data scarcity, one month (March) was excluded for the Lodz_100789 location.
