On exoplanets habitability by merging asteroseismic and magnetic activity measurements

We present our synergetic strategy that merges the potential of asteroseismology with solar space-climate techniques and star-planet interaction modelling in order to characterise solar-like stars and their interaction with exoplanets. Our investigation allows us to obtain not only a highly accurate characterisation of the host star (mass, radius and age), but also to study the impact of the star's rotational and activity history on the evolution of its exoplanets. This information, coupled with the precise age estimate from asteroseismology, determines how long an atmosphere could resist the action of stellar winds, X-ray and EUV luminosity, directly quantifying the portion of the atmosphere that could be eroded. Our strategy will be applicable to PLATO targets and provide unprecedented insights for the synergetic studies of stars, planets and their mutual interactions.
