From Perception to Prescription: A Transdisciplinary Vision of Mind–Body Pharmacology
This conceptual paper introduces a transdisciplinary hypothesis that bridges neuroscience, pharmacology, and perceptual science. It proposes that belief and subjective perception can modulate biochemical pathways in real time, acting as an endogenous pharmacological agent. The article outlines theoretical and empirical evidence supporting this integration, arguing for a novel framework—Mind–Body Pharmacology—that reframes placebo as an active intervention and perception as a therapeutic tool.
