Virtual Reality based System for Flood Rescue Management
Floods cause severe disruptions to human life, infrastructure, and economies, leading to urgent relief and resource allocation challenges. Traditional relief efforts often face logistical constraints, delays, and inefficiencies in assessing and fulfilling victims' needs. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a VR-Enabled Post-Flood Relief and Resource Allocation System that leverages virtual reality technology for efficient disaster response. The system allows authorities to assess victims’ needs remotely in an unmanned environment, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of essential resources such as food, clean water, medicine, and shelter. By providing an immersive and interactive platform, VR enhances situational awareness, optimizing decision-making and resource management. This technology-driven approach minimizes human intervention in hazardous conditions while improving the effectiveness of relief efforts. The proposed model integrates real-time data collection, AI-based need assessment, and automated resource dispatch to streamline post-flood rehabilitation. Experimental results demonstrate the system’s potential to enhance disaster management strategies, reduce response times, and improve aid distribution accuracy.
