Challenges and Opportunities for Change Management in the Judiciary
Change management in the judiciary is an important tool for improving efficiency, transparency, and accessibility. The judiciary needs to constantly adapt and improve because of modern challenges such as digitalisation, changes in legislation, and rising public expectations. Managing change helps reduce employee resistance, build trust in the judiciary, and ensure the continuity of reforms. However, this process is complex and requires a systematic approach, planning, and involvement of all stakeholders. The main challenges include the conservatism of the judiciary, political pressure, and the need for resources to introduce new technologies and train staff. Successful implementation of changes opens up opportunities for reforming organisational structures, improving staff skills, and enhancing the independence of the judiciary, ultimately ensuring fair justice and strengthening public trust.
