The Identity of Time: Exploring Human Generations through Spiritual, Cultural and Societal Resonance

This article explores the shared spiritual essence of each generation in Thai society, spanning from the Silent Generation to Generation Alpha. Rather than categorizing by age or demographic statistics alone, it delves into the collective psyche shaped by historical events, economic change, religious values and technological shifts. The analysis reveals distinct generational imprints: the silence and endurance of the Silent Generation, the system-oriented faith of the Baby Boomers, the survivalist mindset of Generation X, the meaning-seeking spirit of Millennials, the justice-driven activism of Generation Z and the emergent “language of feelings” in Generation Alpha. These findings highlight that no generation is inherently superior to another; rather, each represents a prayer of time itself calling for attentive listening and intergenerational understanding.
