Closed Surface Dynamics #9: Dimensional Selection and Topological Constraints
This paper explores why our universe manifests a 3+1 dimensional structure by examining the geometric and topological constraints of dynamically expanding closed φ-surfaces. In this framework, space and time emerge from the regeneration and interference of propagating closed surfaces. We demonstrate that only three spatial dimensions and one time dimension permit stable surface overlap, coherent interference, and recursive regeneration. Higher-dimensional spaces suffer from insufficient surface density and unstable interactions, while lower-dimensional spaces prohibit closed surface nesting. Likewise, a single unidirectional time dimension is essential for maintaining causal ordering and phase coherence. This dimensional configuration is shown to be a dynamic selection outcome—driven not by assumption, but by the internal consistency of surface mechanics.
